Lego Bionicle

Hi everyone. This is my latest and my first finished Maya project. I took this Lego model a while ago for polygonal modelling practice and finally after loads of long breaks I finished it. The render turned out pretty good, better than I expected of myself, so I'm quite happy with it.
I did some thinking of how to present the model (i.e. as a toy or as a sci-fi robot), after some tests and experiments I came up with the toy option. The scene turned out just as I wanted, I tried to give it a warm look, like a close-up photo in a kid's room with warm and happy colors, dof and stuff. So I would like critique on everything, so I can improve my CG thinking.
The render took 8 hours 33 minutes on AMD64 3200+ with 1GB of RAM.
Here is wire:

Interior - Living Room

Hi guys,
Something I started a couple of months ago and after a break finished just now. Wanted to try to do an interior so I picked up existing furniture photos and made this. I liked the experience so I consider working on my own interior design soon. Anyways, made in Maya 6 with polys, rendered with Mental Ray using GI. I did a highres render to try to get into Expose 4, which took 7 hours and 40 minutes to render at 3600x2025 on dual core AMD64 2.5GHz and 2GB RAM, around 1 million polys. Post work in Photoshop. My PCs doing another render right now, so I'll post wireframe a little later.
C&C!!!

Mobuzak Invasion

Hi all. This is my first post in 2D section. Originally I was recreating LEGO's "Metru Nui" for using in 3D scene as a background, but then I gave it up and developed it into this - as a 2D scene. It's completely 2D made, except the sky which is a texture, but I modified it so much that it's hardly recognizable. The hills and the "snakes" were modelled with curves in CorelDraw, then all that plus shading them, fog, sky, lights, fire, smoke etc. was done in Corel PhotoPaint. I used Photoshop for post production only. As for the story that lies behind this picture: Metru Nui - City Of Legends is being attacked by it's worst enemy - Mobuzak, a plant which has been threatening the city since the very beginning.
Crits & comments are most welcome.
